N700系「のぞみ」、11月末には往復100本

秋期間(10/01～11/30)のダイヤが発表されました。週末や三連休を中心に、東海道新幹線では1,515本、山陽新幹線では400本の臨時列車が運転される予定です。9月末時点で1日あたり91本運転されるN700系を使った「のぞみ」が、11月末までに1日100本に増やされます。また、700系で運転される「ひかり」や「こだま」も増えます。

また、戦闘機のようなフォルムで人気の500系「のぞみ」は、現在、東京～博多間を定期列車として2往復しています。このうち「のぞみ51号」と「のぞみ28号」が11/10からN700系になるため、以降、東京～博多間の500系「のぞみ」は「のぞみ29号」と「のぞみ6号」の1往復のみとなります。

JR Central and JR West released the train schedule for October and November. According to them, 1,515 extra train on Tokaido Shinkansen and 400 on Sanyo Shinkansen will run for weekends and three-day weekends during the period. 91 Nozomi trains of series N700 cars runs a day at the end of September and they said 100 of N700 Nozomi will run at the end of November. The number of Hikari and Kodama trains of series 700 cars is also increased.

Nozomi trains of fighter jet-like series 500 cars are making 2 round trips everyday between Tokyo and Hakata. It will be one round trip a day after November 10, because Nozomi 51 for Hakata and Nozomi 28 for Tokyo will be changed to N700 on that day.

8～10月も「西日本パス」発売

8月下旬からの旅行がお得になる「西日本パス」のリリースがJR西日本から出ています。

高速道路のETC休日特別割引(いわゆる「高速料金1000円」)への対抗策として、ことしの春から発売になった「西日本パス」は、いったん08/03ご利用分までで販売が終了していました。今回、JR西日本から発表があった「西日本パス」は08/21～10/26に利用可能なもので、これまでのものに比べてJR九州全線と智頭急行全線も利用可能となり、より広範囲での旅行に使えるようになりました。それから、指定席やグリーン車の利用回数が(こっそりと)増えています。

料金は、これまでのものと比べて2,000～6,000円高くなりますが、最も安い普通車指定席用2日間のきっぷが18,000円(おとなひとり)。新大阪から広島まで「のぞみ」で往復してしまえば20,300円(指定席・通常期)ですから、それだけでもお得になってしまう「西日本パス」の威力は健在です。

08/21(金)～10/26(月)の週末で使えるそうですが、09/18(金)～09/21(月)の秋のゴールデンウィーク(シルバーウィーク)には使えないのがちょっとだけ残念。まぁ、そのときには別の遊び方を考えましょうか。

いつもより、ちょっと遠くまで行ってみようかな？という秋のお出かけに「西日本パス」をどうぞ。

- JR線から特急が直通する区間でも、北近畿タンゴ鉄道、土佐くろしお鉄道などは引き続き利用できません。

JR West released Nishi-nihon Pass (西日本パス meaning West Japan Pass) for travelling after late August.

Motorists can travel expressways in most of Japan with a maximum toll of 1000 yen for an unlimited distance on weekends and national holidays from this March and JR West released this pass against that. Once the pass ended August 03 and started to sell again for travelling between August 21 and October 26. The new pass has extended its riding sectors to whole of JR Kyushu lines and Chizu Express line. Also, it has extended quietly its allowance of riding reserved seats or Green cars.

The new pass is 2,000 - 6,000 JPY more expensive than the old one. But the pass is still a great saver, because the new cheapest pass for 2 days on 2nd class costs 18,000 JPY. That is cheaper than a return trip between Shin-Osaka and Hiroshima by Nozomi trains which costs 20,300 JPY.

It is valid for travelling from August 21 through October 26, but invalid between September 18 through 21.

先週末から始まっているお盆の帰省ラッシュは、07/30時点での予約状況から東海道新幹線、山陽新幹線ともに下りのピークが08/12(水)、上りが08/16(日)と予想されています。当サイト「新幹線時刻表」は、現時点での「のぞみ」と「ひかり」の空席状況を調査し、東京発着、新大阪発着の各時間帯ごとにまとめました。「○」がある時間帯ではまだ指定席に十分な余裕があり、「△」は指定席が残りわずかとなっている時間帯、「×」はほぼ満席となっている時間帯です。お盆のスケジュールを検討する際のご参考にどうぞ。

なお、今回の調査はJRサイバーステーションの「空席案内」を利用し、08/10 22時前後に実施しました。

お盆の指定席予約状況

JR東海とJR西日本は、お盆期間(2009/08/07～18)の指定席予約状況を発表しました。発表された07/30現在での予約状況によれば、ピーク予想日は東海道新幹線、山陽新幹線ともに下りが08/12(水)、上りが08/16(日)とのこと。

当サイト「新幹線時刻表」では、発表された上記ピーク日とその前後の日について、独自に予約状況の調査を行いました。東京発着、新大阪発着の「のぞみ」と「ひかり」について調査した結果をまとめたものが下記の表で、縦軸に日付、横軸に発車時刻の時間帯(「10」なら10時台)を示しています。「○」がある時間帯ではまだ指定席に十分な余裕があり、「△」は指定席が残りわずかとなっている時間帯、「×」はほぼ満席となっている時間帯です。お盆のスケジュールを検討する際のご参考にどうぞ。
