お正月のお得なきっぷ、発売

JR東海から、元旦の新幹線で使える割引きっぷが販売されます。販売されるのは、ことし(2011年)元旦のものと同じく、新幹線「こだま」と在来線特急が一日に限り乗り放題となる「新春こだま＆ワイドビューフリーきっぷ」と、新幹線「のぞみ」での日帰り往復がお得になる「新春のぞみグリーン早特日帰りきっぷ」の2種類。

「新春こだま＆ワイドビューフリーきっぷ」は、きっぷの内容はことし元旦のものと同じです。ただし、9月の台風15号の影響で身延線の一部(内船～身延間)が不通のため、特急「ワイドビューふじかわ」は全列車が全区間で運休となっています(※2011/11/30現在)。身延・甲府方面へお出かけの方はご注意ください。

「新春のぞみグリーン早特日帰りきっぷ」には、東京・品川・新横浜～名古屋間の設定が追加され、姫路発で設定されていた区間(姫路→新横浜・品川・東京)の取り扱いがなくなりました。また、東京・品川・新横浜～新神戸間の価格が1,000安くなり、京都・新大阪発着のものと同じ20,000円とされました。

JR Central announced that they will sell two discount tickets for travels on New Year's Day. One is "Shinshun Kodama and Wide-View Free Ticket" for unlimited riding of Kodama and local express trains, and the other is "Shinshun Nozomi Green Hayatoku Higaeri Ticket" for return trip by Nozomi trains.

The features of "Shinshun Kodama and Wide-View Free Ticket" are same as those for the New Year's Day in 2011. But passengers going for Minobu and Kofu area be aware that Wide-View Fujikawa trains are fully suspended because of Minobu Line's partial closure due to the damage from 2011's typhoon No. 15.

"Shinshun Nozomi Green Hayatoku Higaeri Ticket" for the next New Year has newly available sections of Tokyo/Shinagawa/Shin-Yokohama - Nagoya and miss sections from Himeji. Tickets for Shin-Kobe is cut the price by 1,000 JPY and tickets between Tokyo/Shinagawa/Shin-Yokohama - Kyoto/Shin-Osaka/Shin-Kobe are priced uniformly 20,000 JPY.

東海道新幹線の「ファミリー車両」が、この年末年始も設定されることが発表されました。ことし(2011年)の夏休み期間と同じく、1日あたり上下各1本の「のぞみ」にお子さま連れ専用車両「ファミリー車両」が用意されます。年末年始の最混雑期にあたる12/29～01/04は設定の対象外。また、クリスマス・イブ(12/24)には車掌体験等の車内イベントも実施されるそうです。

小さなお子さまが泣いても喚いても、あまり気がねする必要のない「ファミリー車両」。冬休みのご旅行にも、どうぞ。

JR Central offers "Family Cabin" (ファミリー新幹線) on Tokaido Shinkansen for 2011-2012's winter season. As same in this summer, that special cabins will be available in one train going for Shin-Osaka and another for Tokyo per a day. A special in-car event, a chance to impersonate a conductor, is planned for the train on December 24.

Families can be on board with crying and screaming little babies without hesitation. That may be a nice choice for winter travels.

山陽２枚きっぷ、11月で終了

新大阪・新神戸～小倉・博多間で設定されていた「山陽新幹線2枚きっぷ」の販売が11月末で終了するそうです。JR西日本によれば、エクスプレス予約の利用が拡大し、山陽新幹線2枚きっぷの利用が減少していることによる措置とのこと。なお、購入済みのきっぷは券面記載の有効期限まで利用可能だそうです。

12月以降はエクスプレス予約の「EX-IC早特」が、引き続き利用可能です。「EX-IC早特」なら新大阪～博多間が11,450円(おとな・片道)。ただし、ご利用にはエクスプレス予約の会員になることが必要です。

エクスプレス予約の会員でない方は、「新幹線回数券」や「新幹線北九州・福岡割引きっぷ」がご利用いただけます。「新幹線回数券」は6枚綴りで、新大阪～博多間は12,900円（おとな・片道あたり）。「新幹線北九州・福岡割引きっぷ」は京都・新大阪・新神戸～小倉・博多(各市内の駅を含む)間に設定された2枚組の割引きっぷで、新大阪～博多間は13,100円(おとな・片道あたり)で利用できます。

JR West announced that they will finish the selling of Sanyo Shinkansen Ni-Mai Kippu (山陽新幹線2枚きっぷ) at the end of this November, because of increasing use of Express Reservation Service and decreasing use of this ticket. The bought ticket will be good until the date printed on the face.

After December, Express Reservation Service's EX-IC Hayatoku (EX-IC早特) will be still available. It costs 11,450 JPY for an adult's one-way trip between Shin-Osaka and Hakata, and require to be a member of that service.

Passengers out of Express Reservation Service's member can use Shinkansen Coupon Ticket and Shinkansen Kitakyushu Fukuoka Waribiki Kippu (新幹線北九州・福岡割引きっぷ). The coupon ticket is a set of six tickets and it costs 12,900 JPY for an adult's one-way trip between Shin-Osaka and Hakata. Shinkansen Kitakyushu Fukuoka Waribiki Kippu is a discount ticket available between Kyoto, Shin-Osaka and Shin-Kobe - Kokura and Hakata. Between Shin-Osaka and Hakata, it costs 13,100 JPY.

年末年始きっぷ事前申込受付

JR西日本の各エリアでは、年末年始期間の指定席券について通常の発売日に先立ち事前申込を受け付けます。もちろん、対象期間内であれば行きと帰りの両方の指定席券を同時に申し込むこともできます。

JR西日本のネット予約サービスe5489でも、きっぷ発売開始日(乗車日の1ヶ月前)の1週間前からきっぷの事前申込が可能です。今回、事前申込を受け付ける駅の数は、お盆の時期よりも少なくなっています。ふだんから駅窓口やFAXでの事前申込を利用されている方は、取り扱いのある駅のリストを確認してからお出かけになるといいかもしれません。

京阪神エリア

JR West said that they will accept advanced ticket applications for the winter holidays. If the travel dates are in the holiday period, both tickets for outward and return are purchasable at one time.

"e5489", the JR West's online booking service, also accepts advanced application. Compared to that for 2011's summer holidays, less stations provide ticket pre-order service for this winter. It might be a good idea to check up the handling station lists before going to a station for preordering as usual.

Kyoto-Osaka-Kobe Area

300系引退、JRが公式発表

すでに多くのメディアで報じられているとおり、JR東海とJR西日本が300系車両の引退を発表しました。300系は1992年3月に東海道新幹線の初代「のぞみ」用としてデビューした車両。現在は「のぞみ」としての活躍を新型の車両に譲り、「ひかり」や「こだま」への充当が多くなっていますが、運行を始めてから20年目にあたる来春(2012年春)、ついに東海道・山陽新幹線から姿を消すそうです。以降、東海道・山陽新幹線の16両編成車両は700系とN700系の2種類になります。

300系は通算で70編成、1,120両が製造されましたが、ことし(2011年)04/01時点での在籍車両は18編成、288両。引退が発表された10/20時点では11編成、176両が在籍していました。時刻表のデータを確認したところ、300系車両で運転される列車の数は11月は1日平均32本で、車両の置き換えにより、1月は21本、2月は16本へと数を減らしていく見込みです。

新横浜駅のホームドアは、11号車だけ300系と700系・N700系でドア位置が異なるため、ホームの内側へ一歩後退する形で設置されています。来春の300系引退に伴い、この11号車付近のホームドアのセットバックも解消される見込みです。

また、300系より一世代古く1985年から活躍している100系は、現在、6両編成の車両が山陽新幹線の「こだま」に充てられています。これらの車両も、同じく来年の春に引退する予定です。

300系車両で運転される列車の本数

It's reported that JR Central and JR West announced the end of Series 300's services. Series 300 is a train type introduced in March, 1992 for the first Nozomi services on Tokaido Shinkansen. In these days, Nozomi trains are operated by Series 700 and N700, and Series 300 cars are mainly used for Hikari and Kodama. They said Series 300 will finish its travel in the next spring, marked the 20 the anniversary.

70 sets, 1,120 vehicles of Series 300 have been produced. 18 sets, 288 vehicles were in use in this April, and 11 sets 176 vehicles in October 20 of the date of that release. Our data of train schedule says 32 trains are operated a day on an average by Series 300 in November. This figure is leaded to a decline by the replacement for new cars. It will be 21 a day in January and 16 in February.

The moving safety fences on Shin-Yokohama Station's platforms has tentative irregularity placement at the car 11's doors, because that of Series 300 differs in position from Series 700 and N700. The retirement of Series 300 may bring relocation of the bended fence.

Series 100 has run since 1985 and now six-car sets are used for Kodama trains on Sanyo Shinkansen. These cars will finish being in operation in the next spring.

山陽でも紛失きっぷ新ルール

クレジットカードで購入した新幹線のきっぷを紛失した場合に、紛失したきっぷが見つからなくても払い戻しを受けられるサービスが04/01から東海道新幹線で導入されています。この取り扱いが、11/01から山陽新幹線へ拡大され、東海道・山陽新幹線(東京～博多間)の共通サービスとなりました。

この取扱いの対象となるのは、東海道・山陽新幹線(東京～博多の各駅相互間)の指定席をクレジットカードで購入し、新幹線駅改札内・列車内できっぷを紛失した場合。紛失した際に駅係員や車掌に紛失の旨を申告し、紛失きっぷと同じ内容できっぷを再購入することが必要なのはこれまでと同じですが、紛失したきっぷを発見できなくても、「確認申込書」に必要書類を添えてJR東海・JR西日本へ送付すると、JRによる調査後、払い戻しが行われるそうです。なお、払い戻しの金額は所定の手数料を差し引いたもので、指定の金融機関口座へ振り込まれます。

この取り扱いとならないきっぷは、これまでと同様、1年以内に紛失きっぷを発見した場合に限り駅窓口での払い戻しが可能です。

JR Central started a new rule for missing tickets on April 1, 2011 on Tokaido Shinkansen. The new rule says that the lost ticket can be refunded without finding if certain conditions are met. This has been a common rule for Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen since November 1, 2011.

This is for reserved-seat tickets of Tokaido and Sanyo Shinkansen, payed by credit cards and lost in Shinkansen stations or Shinkansen trains after passing through ticket gates. As usual, ticket missing passengers must notify a station staffs or conductors and repurchase another ones. But now JR Central and JR West accepts the declaration forms and appended papers without finding the lost tickets and gives a refund after investigation. The amount of purchases less commission will be paid into the passenger's bank account.

The lost tickets not meeting conditions above are refundable at stations as ever, only if they are found within a year.
