先日、博多車両所で一般公開イベント「新幹線ふれあいデー」が開催されたばかりですが、岡山車両基地(博多総合車両所岡山支所)でも「山陽新幹線ふれあいデー」として車両基地の一般公開イベントが開催されるそうです。岡山車両基地といえば、新幹線ライブカメラ「今日の新幹線 / Shinkansen-Today」で24時間365日の中継されている基地ですね。当日も山陽新幹線を走るさまざまな車両が見学できるそうです。
「山陽新幹線ふれあいデー」の概要

- 開催場所：博多総合車両所岡山支所(岡山市北区北長瀬本町)
- イベント内容(予定)：
- 700系(16両編成)、500系(8両編成)、100系(4両編成)の運転台見学と放送体験
- 「さくら」型車両(N700系8両編成)の車内見学
- 「レールスター」型車両(700系8両編成)の床下見学
- パンタグラフの動作体験など
- アクセス：山陽本線北長瀬駅、吉備線大安寺駅から徒歩15分
- 入場料：無料
- 参加申込：イベント当日に北長瀬駅と大安寺駅で配布される「入場証」が必要。
- 備考：当日の天候により、イベントが中止される場合があります。
JR West announced that the Shinkansen's railcar shop in Okayama will be opened to the public in November. That is known as a depot being lived through the webcam on Shinkansen-Today (今日の新幹線) for 24 hours a day, everyday. They said they would display many kinds of Shinkansen cars on Sanyo Shinkansen.

- Visiting a cockpit and speaking over PA in Series 700 of 16-car-set, Series 500 of eight-car-set and Series 100 of four-car-set
- Display of Sakura car's (Series N700 of eight-car set) interior
- Watching underfloor equipments of RailStar cars (Series 700 of eight-car-set)
- Operation of a pantagraph, etc.
- Access: 15 min. walk from Kitanagase Station or Daianji Station
- Admission Fee: Free
- Registration: Admission ticket, distributed at Kitanagase and Daianji Station on the day, will be required.
- Remarks: The event is subject to cancellation due to weather.
