「ひかりレールスター」(8両編成)の4号車では、ふだんは静けさがウリの「サイレンスカー」として車内放送や車内販売の声がけが控えられています。08/11(水)～18(水)の間は混雑期のため、臨時列車を含む全ての「ひかりレールスター」で「サイレンスカー」の扱いが行われず、通常の普通車指定席となります。「ひかりレールスター」でお出かけの方はご注意ください。
The car 4 of Hikari Rail Star, named "Silence Car", usually featured a silent cabin without train announcements and vendors cries. Because it is the busy season from August 11, 2010 to 18, all Rail Star trains including extra trains have no Silence Car service. Please note that those are treated as general second class cars during the period.
