梅雨前線の影響による大雨のため、美祢線と呉線が運転を見合わせています。
美祢線は鉄橋の流失や路盤の崩壊のため、厚狭～長門市間の全線で運転を見合わせています。JR西日本によれば「復旧には相当の期間を要す見込み」とのこと。
呉線は線路脇の数カ所で土砂崩れがあり、三原～広間で運転を見合わせています。07/20には三原～竹原間と安浦～広島間での折り返し運転を開始し、竹原～安浦間は当面の間バスによる代行輸送を予定しています。こちらも同様に「復旧には相当期間を要する見込み」とアナウンスされています。

JR West announced that Mine Line and Kure Line's services are suspended due to the heavy rain.
Mine Line's service is fully suspended between Asa and Nagatoshi because a bridge was washed out and roadbeds are collapsed. JR West said that recovery work requires an appreciable period.
Kure Line's service is suspended between Mihara and Hiro because of mudslides beside the tracks. It is planed to start the shuttle service between Mihara and Takehara, and Yasuura and Hiroshima. The rest section, between Takehara and Yasuura, will be kept suspended and bus transportation instead will be provided. Similarly, JR West said that recovery work requires long periods of time.
