03/14から、岡山～福山間の新幹線に利用できる「岡山⇔福山お試し回数券」が期間限定で販売されています。
岡山から新幹線で2つ先の福山までは、在来線(各駅停車)でもおよそ1時間の距離。ここで新幹線を使えば、17分程度で移動ができてしまいます。JR西日本では、この回数券の発売の目的を「新幹線の速達性と利便性を実感していたくため」としています。1枚あたり1,750円で、在来線利用時に必要な運賃(950円)に800円をプラスして新幹線に乗れる価格とともに、1冊4枚つづりなので、岡山～福山間を2人で1往復するか1人で2往復すれば使いきれるという"お試し"には手ごろな枚数も魅力です。
それにしても、岡山～福山間限定で設定された今回のお試し回数券。この区間ってそんなに人の移動が多いんでしょうか？(謎)

JR West released Sample Coupon Tickets for Shinkansen between Okayama and Fukuyama (岡山⇔福山お試し回数券) for a limited time from March 14, 2009.
From Okayama to Fukuyama, it takes about an hour to go by local trains and it could be shorten to 17 minutes by Shinkansen trains. JR West said that they wanted passengers to realize the speed and conveniense of Shinkansen service. It is good that the low price of 1,750 JPY per a ticket equivalent to adding 800 JPY as express fare and little number of tickets of 4 in a book which can be used up within a round trip by 2 persons or twice by a person.
