2008年12月～2009年2月の3ヶ月間に運転される列車の概要がJR東海、JR西日本から発表されました。2009年2月までに、上下あわせて8本の「のぞみ」が新たに最新型のN700系車両で運転されるそうです。これにより、東海道新幹線では1日に運転される「のぞみ」の約4割に相当する71本がN700系となります。
N700系で運転される列車と運転開始日は下記のとおり。
- のぞみ109号(東京→新大阪)：12/26から
- のぞみ148号(新大阪→東京)：12/26から
- のぞみ67号(東京→広島)：01/02から
- のぞみ96号(広島→東京)：01/02から
- のぞみ69号(東京→広島)：02/05から
- のぞみ98号(広島→東京)：02/05から
- のぞみ153号(東京→新大阪)：02/23から
- のぞみ136号(新大阪→東京)：02/23から

JR Central and JR West released their service schedules during the winter season from December to February. As of the end of February 2009, 8 Nozomi trains bound for the east and west will be newly-operated with series N700 cars. JR Central said 71 Nozomis, equivalent to about 40 % of all Nozomis, will run in a day on Tokaido Shinkansen.
The new N700 Nozomis are shown below:
- Nozomi 109, from Tokyo to Shin-osaka, running with series N700 cars since 26 December
- Nozomi 148, from Shin-osaka to Tokyo, since 26 December
- Nozomi 67, from Tokyo to Hiroshima, since 2 January
- Nozomi 96, from Hiroshima to Tokyo, since 2 January
- Nozomi 69, from Tokyo to Hiroshima, since 5 February
- Nozomi 98, from Hiroshima to Tokyo, since 5 February
- Nozomi 153, from Tokyo to Shin-osaka, since 23 February
- Nozomi 136, from Shin-osaka to Tokyo, since 23 February
