東海道・山陽新幹線全編成へAED搭載

JR東海とJR西日本は、2008年12月以降、東海道・山陽新幹線の全編成にAED(自動体外式除細動器)を搭載することを発表しました。

これは、近年の心室細動発症者への有効な医療機器として、公共スペースへのAEDの設置が進んでいる流れを受けたもの。東海道・山陽新幹線の駅(東京～博多間、全35駅)には、すでにAEDの設置が完了しており、車内への設置により「お客様の救命救急体制により万全を期することとした」とのことです。なお、搭載されるのは各編成8号車か10号車の乗務員室の予定。

JR Central and JR West announced jointly that they would equip all trains on Tokaido and San'yo Shinkansen with Automated External Defibrillator (AED) gradually since Dec. 2008. In these years, AED has been installed in many public spaces widely and finished at all 35 Shinkansen stations from Tokyo to Hakata. They aimed to ensure first aid for passengers in case of emergency. Specifically, AED will be put in crew's room on car 8 or 10 in each train.

山陽新幹線でオリジナルポストカード配布

07/22(火)～08/07(木)の期間中、山陽新幹線(新大阪～博多)の全列車で新幹線のオリジナルポストカードが配布されます。

この企画は、夏休み期間中に山陽新幹線に乗車するご家族連れのこどもを対象としたもので、配布される絵はがきは2枚1組。入手については「ご希望のお客様は、車掌にお申し付けください」とのことです。また、用意した絵はがきがなくなり次第配布は終了するそうです。

JR West said they will distribute special postcards to kids on all San-yo Shinkansen trains running between Shin-Osaka and Hakata during 22 Jul. to 07 Aug. If you or your children would have postcards, you should ask conductors. The distribution will finish as soon as the stock has run out.

新大阪駅改良計画、詳細発表

現在改良工事中の新大阪駅について、駅コンコース等の改良計画の詳細がJR東海より発表されました。

今回の発表は、

  1. きっぷうりばおよび改札口の改良
  2. 新幹線改札内のエスカレーター増設
の2点。現在の「中央入口」が中央口(出入り兼用)、「中央出口」が南口(出入り兼用)となり改札口付近の人の流れが大きく変わることになりそうです。同時にきっぷうりばの配置も見直されるとのこと。タクシーから新幹線へ、新幹線から御堂筋線への乗り換えなど、現状で入口まで(あるいは出口から)の遠回りを余儀なくされていた方々へは朗報ですね。

全体として2013年までの工事予定ですが、「きっぷうりばおよび改札口の改良」は増設される27番線の供用開始に合わせて2012年度末の使用開始を予定しているそうです。

JR Central released the details on their plan about Shin-Osaka station improvement works now underway. Especially it's striking that "Central Entrance" for entering only and "Central Exit Gates" for exiting only will be "Central Gates" and "South Gates" which are both entering and exiting traficable. This improvement will bring trafic changes around those gates. Though whole works will finished in 2013, modified gates will be in-service since the end of their fiscal year 2012.
