Skymark Airlines announced ongoing massive cancellation of their flights in July and August. They will cancel 465 flights as a whole, including 107 of Tokyo (Haneda) / Kobe and 82 Tokyo (Haneda) / Fukuoka, in these 2 months.

JR West said they would accept advanced requests for seat reservation tickets on trains running during 08 - 17 August. Though the tickets are selled since 1 month prior to the travel date usually, the tickets for those peek season will get into requestable since 28 June.

On 10 June, Club Tourism International Inc. started to offer for joining their tours bidding farewell to shinkansen series 0 cars which would finish running in this November. Series 0 cars have run since 1964 when Tokaido Shinkansen was started its operation, and loved as symbol of high economic growth period. The future of those tours is not only traveling around Chugoku area, like Miyajima, Hagi, Tsuwano, and Seto-uchi, but taking series 0 cars which will finish their running soon. If you join those tours, you can enjoy taking both old series 0 cars running since 1964 and new series N700 cars since 2007.
