Tokaido Sanyo Shinkansen is Japanese high-speed railway from Tokyo to Hakata (Fukuoka) via Shin-Osaka. Many trains run through Tokaido Shinkansen from Tokyo to Shin-Osaka and Sanyo Shinkansen from Shin-Osaka to Hakata. Most fastest train connects Tokyo and Shin-Osaka (515.4 km) for 2 hours 25 minutes and Shin-Osaka and Hakata (553.7 km) for 2 hours 23 minutes.
Viewing Mt. Fuji from Shinkansen
When you are traveling on Shinkansen around Shizuoka, you may be able to enjoy viewing Mt. Fuji if the weather is good enough.
The picture above was taken from the window of "seat E" side.
At little to the west of Shizuoka station, you can view Mt. Fuji on "seat A" side for a moment. It is called "Fuji on the left", because seat A is on the left of west-bound train.
